Taps & Couplers
RF taps and couplers divert a controlled portion of a coaxial signal to one or more branch connections while allowing the remaining signal to continue along the main distribution path. They are commonly used in MATV, SMATV, television and satellite systems where signal levels must be balanced across outlets positioned at different points in the network.
Our range includes active taps, passive taps, one-wire and five-wire products, and one-drop to six-drop directional couplers. Different coupling or tap-loss values are available, including 9dB through 30dB options, to support varied system layouts and signal-level requirements.
Unlike a conventional splitter, a tap is designed to provide a specified branch loss while maintaining a through route. Selection should be based on frequency range, tap value, port count, through loss and power-pass requirements
