Hills Antenna Multi-Function Network Cable Tester

The Hills Antenna 16LCT is a cable tester designed for checking LAN and coaxial cables. It is a versatile tool capable of testing network, phone, and RF coaxial cables. It includes sockets for testing RJ45 modular jack connections and BNC coaxial connections, as well as tests for T568B and T568A wiring schemes and BNC continuity.

The Hills Antenna 16LCT Cable Tester consists of two parts: a MASTER UNIT and a REMOTE UNIT.

• MASTER UNIT: Sends test signals to the REMOTE UNIT.
• REMOTE UNIT: Receives test signals from the MASTER UNIT.

The tester requires a 9-volt battery for proper operation. The battery compartment is located on the back of the MASTER UNIT.

To operate, connect the MASTER UNIT to one end of the cable in either the RJ45 or BNC connection port on the MASTER UNIT. Then, connect the REMOTE UNIT to the opposite end of the cable in the corresponding RJ45 or BNC connection port on the REMOTE UNIT.

Turn the unit to the “ON” position for FAST Test Mode, or alternatively, turn it to the “S” position for SLOW Test Mode.

The maximum cable length that can be tested is 300 meters with a fresh 9-volt battery.
